With all the injuries the Colts put up with their OL I expect them to either draft Gerald Cadogan or call him up rather quickly once the draft ends.

Well with the 49ers having just one more pick I got to say I'm as happy as I could be.

Crabtree - Best player in the draft

Coffee - Allows us to have a really dominant run game with him and Gore

McKillop - Big East Player of Year that tested much faster and more athletic than expected

Davis - As a soon to be a BSU grad this is probably the happiest I have ever been after a pick

Roscoe - This is only pick I have a problem with. We have Vernon Davis and Delanie Walker why draft a TE?

Taylor - A FS to give us more depth and has the athletic ability to perhaps start someday

Marko Mitchell was just taken by the Redskins. Really nice pick this late.

And now the 49ers get a good late value in Ricky Jean-Francois.

I really like Ricky Jean-Francois this late.

Absolutely.

Courtney Greene also just went. He has a lot of potential if he can live up to it.

A 3rd TE?

NFL.com has him listed as a guard.

Interesting. Sounds like another athlete. Or a mix-up.

Athlete.

One of the top 10 tight end recruits in the country when he came to San Diego, Louis grew into a late-round pick after one season starting at right tackle for the Aztecs.

After starting at the end of his sophomore year at tight end, Louis missed the 2006 season with injury, then played as a reserve at guard in 2007.

His combination of speed and strength impress teams despite his lack of experience on the line. Louis is a bit reminiscent of San Diego Chargers fullback/tight end Brandon Manumaleuna, so some teams may consider using him in a similar role because of his blocking and receiving skills.

Ahh. Token OL just so they can say they addressed the position.

Whatever.

They'll probably grab a running back or defensive back with the last pick.

I hope they draft Jeremiah Johnson just for the awesomeness of his name.

They're solidifying special team positions. dew found a good article outlining exactly what the Bears are looking for out of him. Did anyone take Gerald Cadogan? That would be a good pick. I'm sure they will pick another possible ST addition, who will likely end up on the practice squad. It is the 7th round.

Bears take WR Derek Kinder. His whereabouts are unknown to NFL.com.

EDIT: He apparently played at Pitt at some point. That's all I can find on him, though.

Kinder from Pitt, WR

Kiper likes him as a project. Good size, but hurt most of the year.

Our other roommate my senior year had the Red Sox, Suns and Dolphins. My having the Panthers and a bunch of Chicago teams looks totally normal by comparison.

did florida set the record for fewest picks for a national championship team? only two for the gators this year, unless you count CI, though CI didn't play a down this year and that makes all of three.
