Winter Classic who should sing the stretch?

Wrigley Field is once again on the world stage who do they send up there to sing it? I'm expecting a ton of peolpe complaing but I'm just curious who everyone would pick .

I'm not sure what sort of stretch they'd sing at a hockey game, but it will be an outright travesty if Messmer isn't singing the national anthem at the beginning.

This article makes it sound like McDonough wants to do a celebrity "stretch" during the short intermission at the 10:00 mark of the 3rd.

 

And it also suggests, without saying it, that Cornelison will sing the anthem. I agree it would be awesome if Messmer did it, but I won't be surprised if he doesn't.

The stretch turned out to be a great story at the classic and was well received by the media and fans . The Legends did a great job not sure the names on our list would have went over as well.

 

The moment of the day may have been the unforgettable third-period stretch remix version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," renamed "Take Me Out to the Hockey Game" and performed by a group of Blackhawks and Cubs legends.

Go figure Derwood you are the only person I have heard complain abut the anthem. I would have liked Wayne M to sing for sure but it's understandable it was the Hawks guy. I thought it was an amazing job , fireworks, F-18 fly over and the hawks guy has a set of pipes.

I was literally 5 rows from the anthem singer. It was absolutely PHOENOMINAL. I don't know that I have ever had such a smile on my face during its singing.
