Wow...maybe the Big XII really doesn't play defense. Northwestern's defense is fairly pedestrian in the Big Ten. Not very good, not bad either.

Jesus we're lucky to be down 7. We may have an awful defense, but I can't remember this many mind-blowingly stupid penalties in big situations. Pinkels usually has this team pretty well-disciplined.

I bet it's better than Independence Stadium. That place is a dump. I guess there is no incentive to fix it up when it is only used for high school games, and 1 bowl game a year.
