Unless somehow he is coming over with Peavy in a 3-4 team trade, there is no way we still have enough prospects left to trade for him, we could potentially sign 1 of Furcal or Orlando Hudson along with an OF bat assuming all of DeRosa's $5.5 mil is taken on by a team and $5-7 mil. of Marquis is taken on by someone.

realistically, if we do end up getting this done, and we do end up picking up as much of Peavys contract as Towers wants, I doubt JH will be able to spend any more big money, and if anything, maybe Edmonds will get a 1 year deal and slap together CF and RF between Johnson/Fuku/Edmonds/Hoffpauir.

When I saw this thread got up to 57 games, i figured something big had happened. When I read the latest news, I believed I was correct and looked forward to the 2+ pages I had yet to read. And then I slowly realized it was 2 pages of Meph talking about who he's blocked. Can we have one thread where people aren't obsessed with Meph one way or another?
