Has anyone else experienced a significant move-up on the list like Vance did (~2500 places). I feel like I've been in the 13-14k range for a couple years now.

How do you find out where you are on the list?

Well, I got an email about 10-minutes ago that I have been selected. Either they have opened up a ton of seats or a bunch of people stopped buying this year. Last year at this time, I was 2700 or something like that.

This is scary-good news for me. I haven't received an email yet, but based on my proximity to you on the list I have to assume I'm way closer than I imagined possible.

D'oh. That sucks, Vance. Bad timing.

Yeah, it the short term though, I'm really not missing out. I'm still able to get decent seats to games when I come to Chicago. It does suck in regards to not having playoff options and such, however.

If I didn't think it would be too big of a hassle to unload tickets to all those other games, I would go ahead and get them. But right now, it isn't right for me.

Man,if I got the opportunity to buy now, I'd have to go forward even if I thought selling some or most would be a hassle. But I'm not the one wearing your shoes.

Well, I didn't actually pass it up. I have acted as the go-between for someone who wanted to buy a pair. My name is on the account, so it will give me some options in the future.

Seems like with JR and Vance getting offered tickets and being in the 2k range that I should have moved up around 2k spots but I've only moved a little over 100 spots. Has anyone else noticed this beside me?

Yeah, I didn't notice any significant movement in my position, either.

HI,

Don't worry, they do not update the list for several months. Sometime in the fall you will see you have a new number.

I didn't even realize that I ever signed up. I guess I did as I am 17,427 on the waiting list. It does say that it has not updated since all the off-season changes. I guess I'll end up around 14,000-15,000 once it adjusts.

Hi,

I started out #700 in 2004 and just got the call this year. I would be surprised if you dropped more than a thousand numbers on the list.

I got an email saying they gave out 2,600 tickets or something and that my waitlist # would be updated soon. It's still 6700 tho

Hi,

Most people buy either two or four seats so I would guess if there were 2600 tickets the most you would move up is 1300 slots.

I was #100 going into this season and did not get the call until just a few days before tickets went on sale to the general public. They only had two choices for me on the lower level so I would really be surprised if it dropped that much.

True, but many people likely passed, or were unable to be reached.

Kind of related. Me and 3 others share the nights and weekend package. Our ticket draft is tonight. Does anybody know which games are included this year? The package is usually 55 games (Opening Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July)

52 Night/weekend games

1 Opening Day (4/12)

1 Memorial Day (9/6)

Sorry for a 4 month bump, but it is pertinent to this topic, feel free to delete, split, merge, etc.

The Cubs updated the waiting list numbers in the last day or so.

I moved up about 2,600 spots.

Thanks for the update - I saw a similar move. The question now becomes how much attrition will we see next year and into 2012 if the team continues to be mediocre and prices remain as high as they are?

Good guess. I am 14,802 now.

28744. I'm 99% certain that I haven't moved since I signed up on 1/7/07. I hope my great great great great grandkids enjoy them.

I'm now 26012. Brutal

If there was ever a year to make a big jump this would be it.

I've moved up 3,000 spots in 2 years. I'm now at 10,513.

Hopefully they become a decent organization (and I have money to waste) by the time my number is up.

How does it work when you're first offered? If all they have are terrace reserved, can I buy them and potentially get better seats the next season? Or would I be locked-into those seats.

Are all seats except bleachers and CBOE seats available for seasons?
