you don't?

most nhl players aren't cocky showboats so that's why you don't see it ub hockey, and that's a great part of the nhl.

you know if crosby did it you'd be trashing him like crazy

Crosby will never score 50 goals so we don't have to worry about that do we?

so acting like a douche is acceptable if you score 50 goals but not if you lead the league in points

got it

All things considered secondary PP Assists should only count as 1/4 of a point anyways... that's all he gets.

haven't we already discussed the fact that crosby doesn't have a higher ratio of pp points than other top scorers and that you basically made it up? im pretty sure we did

PP points are great if they're goals.

this is literally like the worst argument i've ever heard. you make A LOT of bad arguments about crosby and hockey in general, but this is leagues above everything else. you're basically saying guys like joe thornton or ryan getzlaf or henrik sedin aren't good. think about that.

You guys can slurp Crosby's knob any which way you like... add up all his points/assists/goals in any situation... he still isn't as good as Malkin or Ovechkin... got it?

well, that's a lot less dumb than what you said before

why don't you just stop talking about crosby? i very rarely see someone so obsessed with someone they hate, and in those other situations it ends up in murder or with someone in jail for being a crazy psychopath. while i don't doubt that you're a crazy psychopath, it kinda muddles up the nhl thread.

To change subjects a little, the Blues are now only 2 points out of the 8 spot. It is still going to be tough for them to make it, but I am excited for next year when they get EJ and Kariya back for a full season hopefully.

The Blues are a great story this season... I really hope they get into the playoffs because it pretty much guarantees a rivalry series somewhere in the Western Conference playoffs. If the Blues sneak in, all 5 central division teams are in... how often does that happen? ANSWER: Not often.

Tukka Rask goes ballistic mode after terrible minor league officiating gave the River Rats 2 fake goals in a shootout. The game was tied 0-0 going into the shootout:

you're sure that second one didn't go in, huh?

No one is sure... but if I was him I'd still be pissed at that first one. How many times do you see a goalie have to make 2 saves in a shootout?

2nd one is inconclusive but the speed it ricocheted back sure leads one to believe it was post.

the bar in the back of the net is made of the same thing as the bar in the front of the net

Well he didn't really make 2 saves. At first it looked like he touched the puck with the poke check but I don't think he did. Looks like the guy pulled it back. The question is whether or not it was a "continous motion or whatever". At first I thought no way but if you watch it a few times it's pretty close.

As I suspected, several players were upset with Ovie's antics a few days ago and weren't afraid to talk about it. I'm not sure why the article refers to Hinote and Boyes as Flames players, but whatever. I guess lazy reporting and editing lives in Canada too.

I liked Mike Green's quote, that there was no way he woud join in on that. He knew.

Someone is going to pound Ovie for that one. And he has it coming.

no one is going to pound ovy for that. no one pounded sean avery for doing pushups after he scored a goal a few years ago, no one is going to go after him now.

The Tampa guys will remember. The Avery thing is different because he's insane and you can't just take runs at him.

Someone SHOULD have pounded Avery for the pushups.

Ovie was celebrating his [expletive] 50th goal... damn right he should celebrate. Avery just did it to be an [expletive], Ovie actually deserved the celebration.

Yah, I really doubt the Tampa guys care. The only people who care are people like Don Cherry, and they don't matter much.
