So what are we rooting for? I see everyone wants Milwaukee to win?

If that's true, I'm in the minority. I like the idea of the Mets much better than the Dodgers. I also think that, whichever of Philly or LA wins the other series, it's good for the Cubs that the loser is out.

ETA - If the Brewers promise they'll make it through the first round, I wouldn't be opposed to them winning the WC.

I want the Cubs to win and the Mets to lose leading to a Brewer win tomorrow. Brewer fans deserve a playoff appearance.

I rooting for the Cubs to win and the Mets to win and then the mets winning a playoff game tommorow. I think the Mets are a much easier matchup for the Cubs.

If the Cubs and Mets win today, there won't be a playoff tomorrow. The Mets would win the Wild Card today.

Huh? Arent they tied for the WC right now? So if they both win they will have identicle records yes? Meaning they would have to play a game to decide the winner of the WC?

The Brewers are the team tied with the Mets, they're the ones who need to do the same thing as them to force a playoff. Cubs win Mets win gives the Mets a 1-game lead with 0 to play.

Is it possible that Guzman is just more comfortable starting than relieving? His fastball is hopping and he's mixing some good breaking pitches in there as well.

Yeah, I figured it out my math is bad today. I dunno what I want then. Id like to see Gooz continue this domination though. Id also like Soriano to start getting some good atbats in, he's looked really lost.

I don't care what happens today as long it results in a one game playoff.

I don't think it really makes a difference to the Cubs either way. Can't play the Brewers anyway. If the Mets win, they still have Santana set for Games 2 and 5. They might have to throw some mess together for Game 1 pitching, but that's probably a game they were gonna be at a disadvantage anyway without the services of Santana, Perez, or Pelfrey and facing Dempster. I don't see the disadvantage of their hitters having to play 1 more game.

I want a 1 game playoff simply because they're great fun.

That's not an AB I was expecting

Angel Guzman was impressive. With his stuff it's only a matter of time before he turns into a dependable starter, as long as he is healthy. Unfortunately, that will probably not be in the Cub organization.

It feels like he's a lot older than 26, been hearing about him for so long
