I think this has been answered in another thread, but I forgot the answer. How are line drives defined for LD%? (somewhat Theriot related question)

 

I blieve it's LD / (LD+FB+GB)

 

Right, but how do they define what a LD is?

seriously? in a game 0 people on the cubs seriously care about, we have 1 run in 4 innings against a bad pitcher, so we want to avoid them in the playoffs?

I thought someone was saying we shouldnt be scared of Pedro cause he's not great. Im just saying this offense has a habit of making mediocre pitching look really good so who cares what the matchups look like.

I'd love to see the mets, brewers, twins, and Sox all lose their next 3 games. double single game playoffs would be fun.

If Santana is available for just one game in a five game series the Mets are in trouble. They are in inferior to the Dodgers, IMO. I would rather face a tired Mets team that has Santana for just one game than a well rested Dodgers team that is on a roll.

If santana pitches saturday, he'd pitch thursday in game 2. This would make him available for game 5.
