anyone at worried that we may draw the phillies in the NLDS?

i, personally, don't know how to feel about that...

I'm hoping Mets, but no Marlins/D-backs is fine with me.

yeah, i want the mets in a bad way...but i guess it is the same hand from both teams

phillies - hamels (kills us)

We can take anyone in the NL right now, but I'd feel way more comfortable facing the Phillies in a 7 game series than a 5 game series.

Of the teams out there, that is definitely the worst case scenario. I would like the Mets or Dodgers, but since Milwaukee is incapable of winning games, I think that it is safe to say that we will face philly or new york.

Exactly. Me too. Having to face Hamels twice in a 5 game series is not cool.

Why are we afraid of the Marlins?

As a Cubs fan who survived 1969 without throwing myself off a roof or anything, I favor the Mets, and a series sweep by the Cubs, for sweet revenge.

Thing is, they'll be fighting for the division title the next couple of weeks while we'll be able to rest our starters, so we have an advantage.

It's just a '03 thing. I don't want to see the Marlins in the playoffs. (I think we'd stomp them, but I'd rather not see them.)

Plus Milwaukee would get to face the Iowa Cubs in the last three games of the season. :D

I'm hoping that the Mets-Phillies race goes down to the last day. As it sits right now, Santana would be scheduled to pitch for the Mets on the last day of the year (he's going on Tuesday). Hamels is pitching on Tuesday but the Phillies have an off day on Thursday but I would assume they would big him back on normal rest on Sunday if they needed to win that game.

The Marlins killed us last year, and gave us all we could handle this year.

They just have our number. I want no part of them in the postseason again.

I really hope we finish (and win) our game before Milwaukee finishes (and loses) theirs.

Wont happen. The Brew Crew is already circling the drain.

Yeah, I can't wait to see what the starting pitching is the last few games. I would think Lou would want all players rested.

ouch, Theriot is 1-21 in the past week with no walks.

If you root against any Cub player in here again, you'll be done at NSBB.
