Something tells me that you will see a focused Cub team later today against Piniero. The Cubs know they can clinch on Saturday and my feeling is they won't dropped the ball. Which means, it wouldn't surprise me if the Cubs return the butt-whoopin to the Cards in Game 2.

Bold prediction: Soriano/Lee/ARam and Soto goes yrd. Edmonds with 2 rbis and a diving catch. Lilly 7 innings 8 hits 2 ERs and 1:9 BB/K.

Most important prediction: There will be an executive team meeting called at the pitchers mound.

Time for the Bulldog to bring it on home.

Earhole Pujols, bowl over another catcher, hit a homer of his own, I don't care what Lilly has to do, it's time to end this! The day is today!

GO CUBS

I'll be in the stands at the Texas A&M-Miami game, but you can bet I will be keeping an eye on my Blackberry all afternoon for Cub updates. Even though I'll be able to watch tomorrow, I'd rather we just clinch today with a win. I'm not confident that the Brewers can beat the Reds today.

Congrats early on winning the divison. Better team won.

:hello:

Thanks man, and as usual you show a lot of class...

Anyway, Happy Clinch day everyone!!!!

Am I the only one that gets Brewers - Reds? Seriously, I don't think anyone in the Phillies market cares about that game Fox.

I get the Twins - Rays. :-&

I enjoy watching the celebration when they clinch. Since this game is on Fox, they probably won't show too much of that. Will they cut in on CSN or WGN and show that, I wonder?

I'm sure comcast and wgn will have coverage.

if the Brewers lose and their game finishes before the Cubs game, then techinically the Cubs will not clinch on the field. So, yeah, that's me justifying the fact that I'm stuck with the Brewers game on Fox. Hopefully there's a good CFB game on this afternoon

Let's hope for 14 innings in Cincy!

That's why I'm hoping for either a brewers win or a really long game.

Don't worry about that, the games will probably end around the same time, so as long as the Cubs win, there will be an on-field celebration.

Clinching after a loss would suck.
