Veteran play-by-play men Chip Caray, Don Orsillo and Dick Stockton, two-time Emmy Award-winner Ernie Johnson and Hall of Famers Cal Ripken and Dennis Eckersley will comprise part of the broadcasting roster for the TBS network's exclusive coverage of the four Division Series and the American League Championship Series, the network announced Thursday.

Caray, the announcer for "Sunday MLB on TBS," Boston play-by-play man Orsillo, Milwaukee's Brian Anderson and Stockton will handle the ALDS and National League Division Series alongside a team of expert analysts including "Sunday MLB on TBS" analysts Ron Darling and Buck Martinez, Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn, 16-year veteran broadcaster Joe Simpson, pitcher John Smoltz and two-time AL All-Star/MLB.com host Harold Reynolds.

No Harold Reynolds? I thought him and Chip made a good team that one Sunday when they called that Cubs game. Is HR employed by TBS or was that part of the interview process?

I hope we get Orsillo. He knows his stuff.

If not, (and I can't believe I'm saying this) the Brewers' guy would be fine. He's actually pretty good. Though I imagine they'll put him in the AL to avoid any perception of bias.

Please, please no Dick Stockton though.

IMO, we're going to end up facing the Mets in round 1

If so, hopefully Darling is paired up with Stockton again and then they would probably have to do a different series. However if we don't play the Mets, and NYM wins the division, then... oh crap

Looks like he'll be part of the "team of expert analysts"...so probably studio work.

Whoops. I wish they'd put him back in the booth, I thought he was great there.

No, I like Ernie. He is good on Inside the NBA (but Barkley is gold). I just don't think he's award-worthy.

But then again, as Bob said (shouldn't you be banned?), Joe Morgan has an Emmy.

Stockton could do the Boston series as well. He announced for the Red Sox in the 70's and is forever famous for the Fisk call.

Whatever happened to Sean McDonough doing playoff baseball ? He was one of the best back when CBS did playoff baseball.

Sean McDonough is one of the best regardless of what he's doing. I don't know what else he does - I imagine there's more - but he's on ESPN's college hoops broadcasts.

I live in the Chicago area and get WGN radio. So I'm investing in one of these:

http://www.sportsyncradio.com/sport-sync-how-it-works.html

I just got one for my birthday and it's amazing. WGN radio is three seconds faster than Dish Network.

However, WBBM-AM is only one second faster than Dish for Bears games.

I never have to hear Joe Buck, Tim McCarver, Joe Morgan or any of those ideas ever again.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA -cough- -cough-

Sorry, I got a little excited.
