The run is probably going to score from second anyway on a base hit. Soto should be trying to drive the runner in, not simply move him over to 3rd.

that is true with fontenot there, but I'd rather have him standing on 3b then on 2b with 1 out. Dexter was saying I'm assuming he should've been trying to at least get the ball on the right side of the field.
