Geez, calm down until we know if something major is wrong. Also, I'm a big Cubs fan, but I don't let it rule my life. I have more important things to worry about than a game that doesn't affect me in any way.

How long have you been a Cubs fan?

It doesn't matter. Not all Cubs fan are expecting something bad to happen.

I like Lou's response; if he can't pitch, we'll put Marshall in the rotation and move on. That's all.

5 years.

If Z's done, we're toast. But I'm guessing he'll be okay (based on nothing).

If Z's done there's no guarantee that we're toast. Nothing is guaranteed. Sabathia pitched like crap in the playoffs last season, during his CY Young year, and scrubs like Jeff Weaver helped the Cards win a title two years ago. We'll see what happens.

Exactly.

Harden, Good-Z, and Dempter sure does have a nice ring to it, though..

You know who the best team in the NL is if we lose Zambrano for the remainder?

The Cubs.

Disagree

Color me shocked.

I agree. Highly.

This is why I'm not worried.

Why? I get reactionary in game threads but i praise the team just as much when they're going good. You really think the Cubs are better than the Brewers if Z goes down? I really don't. I can see that you aren't interested in debating that though, you'd rather just take a shot at me. Youj're a mod though so it's cool.

We've been better with horrible Z for a month... and Milwaukee playing as well as they could... we've held them exactly where they were.

Obviously, that's just a month, but our rotation without Z would matchup well enough with theirs that our lineup and bullpen would tip it in our favor, IMO. Their rotation is pretty meh after CC/Sheets.

Yes, yes I do think they are a better than the Brewers without Z. Z's been the 3rd best starter on the team and the Cubs have done just fine while he struggled in August.

Well, we went 20-8 with Z contributing next to nothing in August, so there is a lot of truth to us being able to win without him. However, we go from a dominant team to a very good one without him.

The thought of Ted Lilly serving up gopher balls in game 3 of a series scare me. We'll just have to wait until tomorrow and see what the deal is.

We probably won't know tomorrow.

He's going in the morning, so I think we'll at least have something preliminary on what is wrong.

The Cubs have the best offense in the NL, and it's not particularly close.

The Cubs have probably the best bullpen in the NL.

The Cubs have 2 of the top 5-10 starters in the NL, and another who's in the 20 to 30 range.

Yes, the Cubs are the best team in the NL even without Z.

Not as "meh" as ours would be after Harden and Dempster. Parra and Lilly is about a wash. Dave Bush has like a 1.12 WHIP and Suppan has been pitching very well. I think their rotation woulds hands down be better than ours if Zambrano is out.

Nothing good can come from seeing someone named Dr. Griswald.

LMAO! I don't know if I got the spelling right as I was just going off the the interview.

Lou said he's going tomorrow and being that's it's a night game, you'd have to figure he is going early tomorrow.
