I didn't realize that the Astros now have a winning record (7-6) against the Cubs this year. Luckily, the last two times we've seen Backe, Cubs won 9-0 and 11-4.

I'm watching the game with a stros fan tonight, so if the Cubs could please do me one small favor and score 400 runs, I'd appreciate it.

The rain around Joliet is moving north-northeast; chances this game starts under a delay?

Soriano - LF

Fontenot - 2B

Lee - 1B

Ramirez - 3B

DeRosa - RF

Edmonds - CF

Soto - C

Theriot - SS

Z - P

I could be wrong on some of the order (I'm not positive I pieced it together right from what I heard on the radio), but that's who is playing, at least.

I'd like to see Hoff get some time if Fukudome is going to be on the bench, but I don't mind this lineup that much. Still would like to see Soto in the top-half of the lineup though. There is no reason he should be batting that low.

I'm so tired of this rain.

I hope the Cubs win, or I'm really going to be pissed off.

You're tired of rain? Try being in south mississippi the last couple of days.

I like that Fontenot is in there over Fuku, but why does he keep moving Theriot out of the 2-hole? He's been great there all season. Plus I like Fontenot as more of an RBI guy towards the middle- bottom of the order than I do Theriot. Maybe he wants Theriot on base before Soriano?

So is it true that Harden is getting like 2 weeks off?

Last I heard, he'd be starting the first game of the St. Louis series.

OK, that's like a two day difference. I may have heard last game of that series, I don't remember. Either way, yes.

Sounds pretty fishy to me. I understand pushing him back or skipping a start all together, but that'll make it like 13 days between starts.

I figure they saw a way to do it with the way the off day lined up and they did it.

That hopefully leaves him with only 2-3 more meaningful starts before the playoffs... Maybe a tune-up outing in the last week or a skip altogether. I guess we'll see how they line em up.

My concerns about Z will only be calmed if he throws for a significantly higher strike percentage than he has recently.
