So, we suck again. But the good news is, were facing this guy:

Brandon Backe (9-12; 5.42 ERA). No fat chick jokes plz.

The Cubs send the ace to the hill. Zambrano will come up big.

Wrong Zambrano

This one is better:

We happen to have run into some pretty solid pitching these past few days. That ends tomorrow with the horrid Backe: 5.42/78/1.575

Remember who you are facing, Cubs. Don't turn Backe into anything more than what he is.

Match-ups on our side, as is the case most of the time.

The Astros could prove to be a scary team. Whether they are or not, at 8.5 out of the WC, they think they are contenders, and besides The Cubs, all their games are vs. Pittsburg, Cincy, Atlanta, Colorodo, and Florida, and while thats not exactly a cake walk, its a lot easier than both ours and the Brewers schedules.

All those clutch ABs we haven't gotten the last few days have to be saved up and ready to break out. Right?

Hopefully Lou has shoved an offensive enema up their collective anal crevices.

Can we dispense with the bodily function references. Please ?

I...err Kerry...got another question answered in an ESPN chat:

Kerry Wood (Chicago, IL): I'd like to appeal the one hit I gave up during my 20 strikeout game in 1998. Blauser should have had that ball. Do I have a no hitter?

SportsNation Buster Olney: (1:25 PM ET ) Kerry: Please send the DVD. And please include the rant from your manager, Jim Riggleman.
