for the season this morning, I know its normal for the cubs but for your market size, its a big deal.

It's only become normal relatively recently for the Cubs. It's good to see a healthy franchise, even if it actually hurts the Cubs chances. I still don't see how a Milwaukee fan can justify hating Cubs fans, their willingness to prop up the attendance up there the past ten years practically kept that franchise afloat.

Hmm...15,000 extra fans for 6-8 games a year = around 100,000 in attendance. I know it was hyperbole, but I don't think the Cubs fans really made THAT much of a difference.

In 2004 they averaged 23,107 for 71 non-Cubs games, and 42,176 for 10 Cubs games. That's an extra 190,000 fans in one year alone, nearly 10% of their entire season's attendence. That's a very large percentage of revenue coming from a group you hate.

On top of that, I know a lot of Cubs fans who go up to Milwaukee for a game just because they like baseball and it's cheaper and less of a hassle to get in and out of there. Not something measurable, but I'd guess probably another 40-50k ish contributed over the course of a season.

What i find neat is that we have had 21 straight sellouts and 37 sellouts so far this season.
Not to be a homer (well, kind of) but the Indians sold out 455 straight games during the mid-late 90's/early 2000's. :)

I would like to add I did just this last tuesday when the Brewers played the astros. They have a nice facility easy access and exit. I had a blast up there decked out in my cub stuff. On top of that they lost the game which made it even better!

As a Cubs fan who moved to Milwaukee, I go to 4-5 non Cubs games at Miller Park a year as well. I work with a couple of other Cubs fans that do the same thing.
