Good lord I hate the Padres. They fought the hell out of us, made every match a game and didn't go away quietly.

Of course they will pack it in vs. the Brewers

That was quick. Fielder solo shot makes it 1-0.

Deadbirds win.

And another not-so-drawback I see to StL winning games (as long as they don't win TOO many, ahem) is that it helps support the fact that the NL Central was arguably the worst division in baseball last year, and is arguably the best division in baseball this year.

Thank God we've assured ourselves at least the series win vs ATL, cause a sweep is definitely possible for the Brewers this series, and goes to LA next; not as easy, but winning 2 of 3 wouldn't be that big a stretch.

And our next series is @ FLA. Considering our luck and history against that team, I'd be ok with going 1-2 this weekend, not happy, but ok.

3-0 MIL now. With Sabathia on the mound, pretty much ballgame (even if just in the 2nd). Not even a slight question as to whether Yost will keep CC in for the whole game or not.

The AL East is the best division in baseball and it isn't remotely close.

I wouldn't say "and it isn't remotely close", but I could definitely see a strong argument made in favor of the AL East. Especially if one wanted to argue that the AL being better than the NL; but as far as divisional records and games dividing the teams (ALE vs NLC), they're not all that dissimilar.

Why can't the Brewers lose?

See Giants, Braves, Nationals, and Padres.

Yes, but I'd expect a few losses sprinkled here and there among those teams.

Those will come when the PAP catches up to Sheets and Sabathia.
