Give Edmonds a one year deal next year. I want him on this team.

pass. He's Gary Gaetti 2008

Disagree, I don't recall Gaetti playing this well in '98. While I think it's foolish to get too caught up in what Edmonds is doing...it's not completely out of the question to think about bringing him back.

Was that fly ball not deep enough to score DeRosa?

I too have had those feelings. However, it's not that similar to the Gaetti situation in that Gaetti was never good and was playing out of his mind. While I didn't expect this performance from Edmonds, he's a borderline hall of famer who has put together a good season.

I'm not advocating resigning him, but there are some conditions under which I would like to see him back

I think "Borderline HOF'er" is pushing it, but he's had a very good career.

154 OPS+ in 128 AB for us in 98

I don't think he's Gaetti either but the guy put up some numbers.

Scary...Gaetti and Edmonds with the same OPS+ with the Cubs in the year they were traded. Both had played for the Cards the year before.

not a chance.

Theriot with an f-bomb after striking out. You can hear every conversation in the stadium right now - unfortunately that includes the horrible Atlanta announcers.

110+ WARP3, 132 OPS+ from a CF... I'd say it's borderline.

Just judging from reading lips, it seems like Theriot drops a lot of F-bombs.

Two guys with two-strike counts and Marquis can't put them away.

Thats OK, Chipper doesn't absolutely murder Marquis over his career :(

Of course Bob jinx it by saying Marquis has been staying out of tge big inning

And then by showing how chipper is unclutch with 2 out and risp
