I'm wondering if Detroit isn't just a bad matchup for us. It doesn't make sense for them to so consistently beat good teams and be so awful against the two great teams in the conference.

Well, I think the Hawks came out with some extra fire tonight. They're missing their point scorer and feel they have something to prove at home by beating an incredibly hot (no pun intened) Flames team.

 

They have had excellent chances and have looked good all night. I think we CAN beat Detroit and SJ, we've come close 4/6 times we've played them collectively. We just had off days at the wrong times.

 

I am not saying the Hawks are better than the Wings or Sharks, but if all cylinders are clicking come playoff time, it IS possible.
