Knowing how the Cubs tend to minimize injuries, I want to believe it. I really, really do. But I wouldn't be shocked at all if he had a bone bruise or a hairline crack in his ankle or foot.

Dude you are the definition of a pessimist, every time someone has the slightest thing wrong, you assume the worst.

The new regime is much better than the old one. The trainer is actually licensed these days, and players actually come off the DL and play again.

It's just old scars from the Dusty days. Riot is probably fine. If he wasn't I'm sure he wouldn't have stayed in.

He was walking around the clubhouse just fine after the game. I don't think it's any big deal.

Good. That makes me feel better hearing it from an unbiased source.

No problems with him starting on Friday? Or will Lou be cautious and start Ronny?

the other shoe was going to drop but theriot was wearing it to protect his decaying foot

would it be all that bad if he really missed playing time? De-Ro has been unbelievable lately....even tho Theriot has been having mostly a good year...

Well, seeing how Theriot is the SS, and DeRo hasnt played SS this year, yea it could be bad. Although Cedeno has done pretty decent lately.

Theriot could use days off (as could DeRosa...and Lee...and Soto).

Not a bad time to get Theriot some more rest hopefully Lou will sit him tommorrow giving him two days off in a row. Same can be said for Soto and Marmol.

In 2008, Ryan Theriot escaped from Wrigley Field. All they found of him was a dirty baseball uniform, a tube of eye black, and an old pair of baseball shoes, the cleats damn near worn down to the nub.
