Camacaro will start with Searle piggybacking.

Any chance that Hill will start for Daytona instead since he didn't start tonight? I never saw an explanation for why he didn't.

He was placed on Daytona's DL today with back spasms.

I want an iron-clad guarantee on the Mesa starters for once. Say "The Mesa starters are (blank) and you can take that to the damn bank."

I did that on August 1st. You can take Larry Suarez to the damn bank tomorrow.

What kind of stuff does Searle have? He's an Aussie, right?

FB, slider, curve and change per a Scout article when he signed in 2007 - slider is his best secondary pitch and the change is his weakest. Yes, he's Australian.

Any idea what his velocity looks like?

Nope, I'm hoping to find out what his velocity is like tonight. Plus, I'm hoping to find out what his reportoire is like now - those pitches were what he threw when he signed in January 2007 - he's sure to have progressed since then.

Mesa's Nelson Perez was amongst the July home run leads in all of the minors.

• Perez, 20, has 27 strikeouts and just three walks and is repeating the Rookie-level Arizona League. Still, he leads the AZL in home runs with all nine of them coming in July. He’s also hitting for average at .328.

Lieber struggled: 3 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, HR. Gave up a 2-run HR to Mike Moustakas.

So did Robert Hernandez in relief of Lieber: 3 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, HR. Gave up a 2-run HR to Mike Moustakas.

Jovan Rosa hit his 6th HR of the year, also has a walk.

Pie out of the lineup again for Iowa. Hoffpauir with a double, homerun, and 4 RBI's. Dubois is 2 for 2 with a run scored. Iowa is up 7-4, bottom of 5.

Anyone know how Samson is defensively? Two more hits for him tonight.

He's racked up the errors (don't know the count); don't know much about his range or arm.

Hernandez struck out 2 more in a nice 1-2-3 8th inning: 5 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 0 BB, 5 K.

Apparently both of Moustakas' HRs were mammoth shots.
