How do they decide how long to wait? I mean, if they KNOW it's going to rain for at least 90 minutes, which it seems it will, would they just call it now?

Day game tomorrow too. A factor?

On a side note, the "bonus" coverage of the Tampa game is pissing me off. Whatever those fans are making noise with (cowbells?), it's incredibly obnoxious.

the umpire crew chief can make the call after 30 minutes, but he can also decide to wait if there is a clearing coming. my guess is, if the forecast is for ~90 minutes of rain, they'll wait it out and resume it

I think we'll finish this game.

-It's a relatively close game

-It barely went past the point of an official game, meaning its not like the 8th inning or anything

-Both teams have playoff asparations (sort of in Astros case)

However, there is a day game tomorrow so who knows.

If the game does resume, thats where its great to have a guy like Sean Marshall avlailable. He can give us the next 4 innings, or if a save situation comes up, 3 innings, and then someone not named Bob or Scott can take over.

Since I refuse to pay for cable tv, I get to watch Fox Saturday baseball, and games on WCIU. Out of that tiny few, this one's gonna get rained out possibly. Suck.

edit: uh-oh, WCIU (er...locally its broadcast channel 69) just switched to a Coach re-run.

I was talking to God last night, and I said something like "people who like bad sequels -- say, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome for example -- deserve to have a little extra rain in their lives."

Sorry bout that bro.

For some reason, every 15 minutes or so, my cable box switches their feed to QVC. This lasts for about 6 seconds before it goes back to regular programming. At first I thought it was WCIU and their crappy production quality, but now its doing it on ESPN as well.

Hey, that's a great, great movie. Better than this game anyway. \:D/

You know how comfortable of a lead we have in the Central? It passed my "too lazy to open up MLB.tv" test when the Brewers had 2 on and 2 out last inning.

I'm getting that as well. Storms and all runing our feed. You have RCN?

I'm a little surprised you'd be able to watch a Brewers game in Chicago. I'm blacked out of the Reds in South Bend so I'm hosed on that game.

Did Comcast Chicago just go off the air? I'm getting a technical difficulties message on DirecTV on that channel right now.

2 run HR by Jay Bruce, 6-1

yeah baby!

Hopefully between the start against us and tonight, we're starting to see more of who Parra actually is.

If they call it the Stros win outright...
