Are you looking for something more specific than "he's not good at baseball"?

i think that pretty much covers it. we'll use the same update for ryan harvey.

Is it too early to bury Tyler Colvin in the same mass grave?

No, but Grant Johnson and Jake Fox are ready.

Is he really that big of a bust? I'm honestly curious, cuz I remember he had a bit of hype a few years back.

This is his third full season in the system and thus far, he's thrown 4 full-season innings and he has 1 start the last two seasons. You don't want to give up on a young-ish pitcher with good stuff too early, but he's definitely been a bust so far.

I think I just threw up a little.

Colby Rasmus

Jacoby Ellsbury

Matt Garza

Clay Bucholz

That's just the first round and supplemental. But, I warned you.

he had an injury (fell over his ps2 and broke his [i think] non pitching arm), and an inability to throw strikes/not hit guys

So what you're trying too say is he's one of the most feared pitchers in the game... I think I read you loud and clear

Well whats the deal? Injuries? Issues?

He's pitched minimally but I dont understand why.

there have also been numerous reports that he hasn't worked hard in rehabbing his injuries and has shown up to camp out of shape at least once that i remember... maybe he shows up out of shape every year, i dunno.

anyway, lack of command + lack of effort = not going anywhere fast.

At draft he was scouted as having a very good fastball, projection to be faster; he was scouted to have decent control and projected to have three or more good big-league pitches.

None of those thing, or those things that were projected, have been realized. He's got decent velocity but nothing special. He doesn't have decent control. And none of the pitches that were projected to be pretty good are good.

O well.

I have never heard the lack of effort bit before.

well you should have invested in the 2007 BA prospect handbook!

he showed up at his first spring training mentally and physically. the cubs sent him a wakeup call by scrapping a planned assignment to low class A and keeping him in extended spring training.
