Teixeira to the Angels, apparently

According to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal, the Braves picked the Angels' offer for Mark Teixeira over a package of Chad Tracy and Micah Owings from the Diamondbacks.

 

Rosenthal also says the Braves tried to insert Will Ohman into the Angels' deal with the goal of acquiring additionals youngsters, but that it didn't work. Ohman remains likely to be moved before the deadline.

 

 

The minor league pitcher the Braves got must be pretty good, because The D-Backs offer seems a lot better on paper.

 

Hes one of the games better relief prospects. And no, no it doesnt seem a lot better, on paper, papyrus, cave walls, or whatever you want to write it on. I'd say they are actually fairly even.

The Angels were already arguably the best team in baseball...this likely makes that all but a sure thing.

They were the luckiest team in baseball, now maybe their talent level is more in line with their current record.

They needed one big bat for the last like 4 years since Garrett Anderson's pop went away. They got it and now they are the favorite over Boston to go to the World Series.

Though this probably wasn't in line with their actual thinking, its smart of them to actually add talent to a team that is somewhat in lack of it. (at least offensively)

 

Now they are truly a force to be reckoned with. There was a reason why Oakland's playoff chances were up there for a few months (though they have completely gone away now).

I think he was being sarcastic. As in "way to go out on a limb" with that obvious statement.

what does woosh mean anyway? I've seen it posted from time to time, but with little context to help me figure out what the hell it is. And while we're at it, what does FTH mean? From what I've gathered, it's means like "what the hell", but what's the F for?

Thanks guys. I started checking out FJM within the past few months fairly regularly, damn funny material. I'll keep a heads up for FTH next time. Oh, and since I didn't know what they meant earlier...
