Hampton's alive?!

first time pitching in I think 34 months. My guess is his knee cap explodes on the 7th pitch of the 1st inning.

Wasn't he supposed to make a start at the beginning of the year, but was scratched because he hurt himself while warming up?

Something like that. I never get tired of hearing my cousin being upset, and surprised that either Hampton or Chipper is hurt.

We got lucky with the Astros yesterday. Not gonna be so fortunate today. Hopefully Cubs win tomorrow and go into the HUUUUUUUUUGE Milwaukee series at least tied.

Man, I cannot imagine a more important series since 2003.

I realize the Cardinals are on the back burner right now as far as we're concerned, but they've got the bases loaded with nobody out in the 1st.

Ankiel singles home 1.

Knight walks in a run, 2-0. (will keep editing post as this inning goes on, could be a long one)

Sac fly by Molina, 3-0. Had an easy out at 3rd, but the relay man drops it.

Seeing eye single for Aaron Miles, another one in. 4-0 Cards, still only 1 out.

Good for them. The Cubs need someone to put the fear of God into them.

So what does anyone know about Brandon Knight besides the fact that hes a bad pitcher?

Edit: Apparetnyl, hes a 32 year old "prospect". good to know.

White Sox up 4-1 on Verlander and the Tigers. If they win, they will leap the Cubs as the best winning percentage in Chicago.

Check out Homer Bailey's line so far tonight. 4.2 IP, 12 Hits, 0 ER

How do you give up that many hits and not give up any ER's? Thats quite a feat.
