Larry Suarez: 1 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K - runs unearned due to an error by John Contreras.

Cedric Redmond followed with his longest outing of the season: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K

Mesa is up 8-2 after 3 thanks to a 3-run HR from Jericho Jones and a solo HR from Sean Hoorelbeke. John Contreras has an RBI double and Alvaro Sosa has two doubles.

I wonder how long they're going to let Jericho Jones annihilate AZL pitching.

And John Contreras. They are both old for the AZL - Jericho is 21, Boring Name John Contreras is 22 - both are hitting over .400 and both are OPSing about 1.300.

Hernandez is killing me this year! I thought he'd be in Daytona by now. But the suspension and lackluster performance have ruined his season thus far.

Veal got beat by Nic Ungs, who used to be a pretty solid prospect and now is 28 in AA.
