This game has been fun.

Yeah, I really need to be in bed. This is the best AS game I can remember, by far.

94' was a good game.

Was that When Gwynn scored the winning run in Pittsburgh.

I remember Alou hitting a big double,

What the hell, I was just looking up Guzman's stats for this year and was looking at the other Nats players this year. Willy Mo has 2 homers in 64 games?? He must have seriously gotten off some juice.

Maybe its because the NL has the chance to win it, for the first time in like, ever. ('02 notwithstanding)

I normally don't pay attention to them at all (especially when I was 12). But yeah, I think I'm into it because of the Cubs talent level this year and the HF advantage crap. It makes it interesting, but that doesn't make it right.

I STILL hate Hurdle for taking Aramis out.

What has Guzman done right? The force out at the plate was one, but that's it. He was CS'ing for Ramirez and now weakly flies out.

I HATE YOU, HURDLE!!!

It was the right move. It was the 9th inning and he got the leadoff man on first as the winning run. I'd rather have Guzman than Aramis pulling a plow.

Will they stop talking about these players as if they all have the fragility of Nomar. They are big boys...I'm sure they can play a few more innings.

was that cooks first inning? he's gotta throw some innings as the last starter for the NL

webb

he threw a lot sunday, and may not be available

by the way, this home plate umpire is really tall.

That might explain why he's been calling strikes that are 6 inches off the ground all night.

Hurdle won't want his own guy out there that long.

Marmol is going to get walked off on :(

i would guess webb or lidge will come in before that

Apparently they don't ant to use Webb. If they do, it will be as a last resort. I imagine Marmol will be the first of the 3 with Lidge being saved for a save opp.

Right move then, but really hurts each time Guzman comes to the plate, and maybe will make a game-costing error at 3B.

The current NL lineup contains Corey Hart, Ryan Ludwick, Cristian Guzman, Nate McLouth, Adrian Gonzalez, Miguel Tejada, David Wright, Dan Uggla and Russell Martin.

I don't think they are going to score.

If we can try to drop our HFA mentality, this is a great game. I haven't seen a game this great since the 163rd game last year.

Yup, 108 pitches on Sunday, and he has said he isn't available.

Am I the only one who thinks baseball should allow a "reenter the game" rule for All-Star game only? Meaning a position player (starter or backup) could be reenter the game, one more time?

I know it sounds crazy, but so does HFA to be determined by the outcome of the ASG.
