It'd be awesome if the Brewers went on a huge losing streak right after getting Sabathia.

I'd like the Cubs to be at least 7 games up at the break.

The Brewers had better worry about the Mets and Phillies. As of now, the Mets are just 2.5 back of the Phillies for the division lead and 4 back of Brewers for the wild card. Edited by ChiCubsfan0502

ROFL the Brewers bitch just blamed the tight strike zone for McClung sucking.

Gee, seemed alright for Jimenez.

Im not saying the zone was bad, but this site could be the worst when it comes to "bitching" about the zone, seriously.

Ned waxing philosophical in the press conference. You'd think it was a spring training game; I guess C.C. buffers one's emotions against losses too.

I think Gregor Blanco needs to get one in the ribs tomorrow night for trying to break up a perfect game with a bunt.

Didn't someone do that to Randy Johnson once in Arizona?

Maybe the Braves would be interested in unloading Tex. Braves are going nowhere this year.

If they go into fire sale mode, I'm sure Tex will be shopped. I'm just not sure the Braves are ready to throw in the towel.

Buster Olney mentioned (this morning on Mike & Mike) that he believes that if the Braves continue their slide that they will part with Teixiera. He mentioned how the Cubs would be interested. Surprisingly he didn't mention the Red Sox or anyone else for that matter.

i didn't hear that at all. i heard that the cubs would be interested in a pitcher (forget who) but he mentioned the red sox as a team who WOULD be interested in tex. there's no reason for the cubs to have any interest in tex; there's nowhere for him to play.

Where would we put him? Would we give up Lee in the deal? I would think Hendry would be happy to take Hudson off their hands. Teixiera just seems extraneous.

Why? Because of some "unwritten rule" of baseball? The game was close enough (3-0), to warrant Blanco going for a bunt for a hit. There is nothing wrong with Blanco going for the bunt. Had the game been something like 5-0 or higher, that's one thing, but 3-0 game it's still a winnable game, thus Blanco DID THE RIGHT THING, unfortunately DeWitt made a heck of a throw.

It was Curt Schilling, and I believe either the late Mike Darr or Ben Davis did a bunt for a hit, and our own Bob Brenly call they bunt attempt, "Chickenpoop" (I using a cleaner word then what Brenly used).

I was thrown off by it. Not sure why he thinks the Cubs would be interested. But, he did mention it.

Meh. I remember not being too upset about the Cubs loss to the Phillies when we got Nomar. In fact, I was about as happy as I've ever been as a Cubs fan. Of course, the Brewers and fans have known about this since last night, so it's a little different.

Watching the Milwaukee broadcast you'd think have thought they had just traded for Jesus Christ. I guess when your team never makes big name moves you get a bit silly when one actually happens.

It's been incredible. The broadcast last night was hilarious. I guess we look like that to others when we make a big trade too. It was just wild to see it from an outside perspective.

I thought I was back at Mount Rushmore or something with all the fading in/out profiles of CC in the dugout. CC looking interested. CC looking serious. CC with the hat on straight. Now he has it on crooked.

CC.

Oh wait Prince hit a 2 run jack there's a baseball game going on!
