My team finally has a big day (89 points, which is more than the rest of the week combined). Very nice pitching starts for Santana today and Gallagher yesterday (Gallagher's first start since I promoted him when he lost minor league eligibility). Unfortunately it's too little too late.

Damn you, BBB. I wanted Neftali Feliz.

TW, for those who laughed at my trade a few weeks ago: Ankiel has been raking lately and Garland has pitched good at times. Meanwhile McGowan is on the DL. Just thought I'd point that out. :D

I had Inoa first up on my queue, but then I decided Feliz is probably at least 3 years ahead of Inoa for a shot at the bigs. I just hope Texas trades him to a west coast team.

I would have used up my #1 waiver slot on either one of them, though.

But just think, Raisin, you won't be reminded of Neifi Perez or Pedro Feliz anytime you see his name on your roster.

Yea, I had the same thought process. Inoa is so far away.

I don't check the "New Additions" for 2-3 days and they drop 30 players into the system! I can't believe I missed the boat on that one. Although I can't believe no one picked up Betances. Once he gets his control issues straight he's going to be an elite prospect.

Proposed rule change (if it isn't that way already): If a manager forgets to bench a starting pitcher to stay within the 7-start limit, and that pitcher puts up a negative score, those negative points should count. :D

Micah Owings and Tim Hudson's relief appearances have been adjusted along with Andrew Miller's start.

Pretty easy fix.

six straight w's for the hand sanitizers, who should get a boost from soriano's return and liriano's inevitable call up (20 ip, 10 h, 0 er, 24 k's in his last three starts).

only one game out of first!

Yeah, this is why I wanted Neftali. He's hitting 100 mph on radar guns at AA, he could easily be helping the Rangers by next year if they wanted to scoot him up quickly. Still, Inoa and Alderson (and Huff who I missed out on) are all better prospects than some of the guys I used to have.

So, what you're saying is I wouldn't have gotten Huff if I didn't grab him through waivers? When I saw him go to me, I was curious if anyone else had put a bid on him, and was a bit disappointed I didn't try to wait it out and grab him via free agency.

I put a bid on him but I had it set to drop the same minor leaguer as the minor leaguer to drop when Inoa was picked so that transaction didn't work. You would have gotten him even if you didn't got through waivers (unless I was quicker than you) because of my blunder.

I do like Huff a lot...I put a bid on Feliz > Inoa > Alderson > Huff in that order.

Well, my ideal plan would cause you to get plenty pissed.

My waiver order was pretty obvious. Feliz>Inoa>Huff

I don't know why I didn't have Alderson in my queue. Probably wouldn't have gotten him anyway, as he would have been 4th on my list.

Also, I was surprised to get Dominguez as a free agent. A lot of slow activity on Roadkill, I guess. Also surprised that Betances went via free agency.

Also, Raisin, I can't blame you for not dropping other minor leaguers for extra add ons. I'd trade my minor league team for yours in a heartbeat.

Yeah, if only I could get my big league team as good as yours.

It'd also be superb if the minor leaguers give me a week or 2 notice when they're going to have season-ending surgery so I can trade them away.

Figures that they add all these guys the week when I have zero computer access for most of the time.

Oh well. At least I snagged Gamel earlier this year.

I'm really taking this week's loss hard. Abuck is right back in the race. I blew a chance to take a 1-game lead over Don.

Or you could look at it like I had the opportunity to do the same, and I failed as well. I hate having Adam back in the race. I'd love to see him miss the playoffs.

I knew you were gonna lose before I knew I was gonna lose though. I thought I had a legit shot to win with the Mets night game, until Sabathia came out for the 9th (3Ks, CG for an extra 10 points) and Lincecum came out for the 8th. Both were over 100 pitches before their final innings.
