The Redskins need to be first on that list, then the Indians.

 

I don't have much of a problem with the schools that use tribe names, so long as the tribe gives their consent, like the Ute, Seminole, and Choctaw tribes have done.

Redskins changed their focus to pigs instead of native americans. The Indians are by far the biggest offenders.

Redskins changed their focus to pigs instead of native americans. The Indians are by far the biggest offenders.

 

It's a toss-up between an offensive name and an offensive mascot. At the very least, the Indians have been down-playing Chief Wahoo in the past few years.

I think it's both. They are named after the army, but the logo is a tribute to Native Americans. I remember reading somewhere that some Native Americans don't find that offensive because it's more of a salute. It's not as controversial as say, the Indians or the Washington Redskins.
