i gotta say, cain pitched a hell of a game. i will give him credit, he has been keeping the ball down and painting corners all night, and the defense behind him has been very good. some days you just get beat.

Kosuke 2-16 with 7 Ks in his last 4 games.

He really seems to be pulling off the ball. What are his splits vs. lefties?

What in the hell was that, Fontenot, Edmonds and Durham?

Fukudome has turned into a whiff machine. He has looked bad for while now and to say he should start over Braun is kinda a joke.

Braun and his .317 OBP (before tonight's 0-5) and .848 OPS doesn't deserve it either.

Look at Braun's overall numbers. They're not that good. When you take into account the enormous difference in defense, I don't think Fukudome over Braun is that much of a joke.

Does anyone else notice that Theriot and Fontenot NEVER use two hands when catching the ball? Derrek and Aramis always do yet our middle infielders make it an adventure.

You'd think someone would tell them to use two hands.

Hopefully Ramirez is watching this game, and he'll say his goodbys and get on a plane as soon as possible.

Did his wife have the baby yet? Induced labor?

I don't think that's the real reason he's there. Why would the Cubs keep saying "family matters" and not just say that he's having a baby?

Despite his save total, Brian Wilson has been quite hittable this year. I'm just glad Cain's gone.

Perhaps you are right.
