Or as I like to call it, the "please god somebody put up a video of Hawk's silence." thread.

Great game.

yeah I was pissed all game long. Not really because they homers (it makes me mad but i expect it from them like when he said "we head to the __ inning with a 3-1 lead ... no the white sox do) but they don't get excited whatsoever unless its a white sox home run. The Rays announcers were great I got into the game while watching it on mlb.tv because when we had a big hit they would be yelling he's rounding 1st or 2nd and so-so has to get the ball quick or it will be a double/triple. With white sox it's just silence and a buss kill.

They are made for radio guys on tv. Realized that during the pregame when they just sat up there and read off a piece of paper (actually was shown on tv doing just that). Len and Bob and all good tv broadcasters get interviews during BP and the such so you have something to see.

for Ss and Gs, I went over to White Sox Interactive and their post game thread is 11 pages and counting. Good times.

I came home to watch the middle innings (very late lunch). When DLee hit the homer, Hawk said nothing. He didn't even give it a "home run, Cubs."

He said nothing.

His assbaggery is amazing.

Can anyone post Hawk and DJ's call (or non-call) for me to enjoy?

Yes, please do this. I was able to enjoy Pat and Ron and nearly drove off the road when Rammy hit it.

Not my video, but here's Hawk's call:

lulz....55 seconds of silence elapsed from his call of "and this ball game is over" until finally dotting the tears away from his eyes long enough to say something. Neither one of those d-bags said a word for those 55 seconds.

That was freaking awesome. Nearly an entire minute of silence. Ha ha!

I kinda liked it. A good announcer knows when to shut his mouth and let the crowd do the talking. Vin Scully is a great example of this.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that that's not why he shut his mouth.

Also, anyone notice Alphabet Soup walking off the field seconds after the ball left the bat? He knew it was gone immediately.
