but seriously, the illini haven't gotten a rebound in 10 minutes.

 

Dude you guys controlled the glass all day. We got some late but were dominated otherwise.

 

Defense went to hell in the second half. Apparently we were unaware Tisdale can shoot. Cole getting his 4th foul was a killer, he was playing well. Although we didn't go to him for some reason in the second half when he was in there.

 

You knew that was going to happen though. We always seem to have that kind of game at Illinois. Play well, lead in the second half and always give it up. We need Tate back so badly.

If we could steal a win at Kohl, or maybe it wouldn't be stealing one now, we could easily win the conference. I mean I know that Purdue is better than '68 UCLA and '96 Kentucky roled up together, but I still think we could get it done this year.

PSU now alone in 4th in the Big Ten behind MSU, Illinois and Purdue. They've certainly taken advantage of what has been a favorable first-half BT schedule, but they've also still won games they weren't expected to, like against Purdue.

 

Of course, the schedule kicks up in difficulty right about....now.

 

yeah they have three auto-losses (@mich st, @purdue, @illinois) and only one auto-win left (vs indiana).

Jamelle Cornley does not have that term in his dictionary. I bet you they take at least 1 of them, maybe even 2. Starting with Michigan St.

you could also just put sulley on ignore, that'd filter out 90% of those posts.

Game and a half. We started to move the ball like a motion offense team in the second half again. But yeah, the previous game and a half were an abomination.

PSU really impressed me in that game, I knew Battle was good, but man that was a fun game to watch and now were tied for first!

I already linked earlier in this thread that Hummel was practicing in January.

 

I love Musberger cause he's a Big Ten homer, but he's old and rarely gets the story right.

Sounds like the Illini may have some issues going on right now. Apparently Weber cut practice short on Saturday it was so ugly. Davis playing crappy because of lingering tonsilitis, Meacham can't hit the broad side of a barn lately. I'm a little concerned about the 2nd half of the B10 schedule with PSU twice, MSU, Purdue, and Minnesota all left on the schedule and not one easy one among them. Plus they still have to go to Wisky, OSU and NU.

they've been exposed a little bit over the last 2 games. they don't have a lot of talent outside of mccamey, but they do have players that understand how to run the offense and play pretty good defense.

 

i still can't wait until next season.
