We play them close usually but we have won once in the last 20 years there I believe.

It's an accomplishment to keep it within 25 at the Breslin Center. We had that run of beating them 5 straight and 6 out of 7 away from the Izzone but get absolutely trounced up there every year.

 

At Illinois we usually play fairly well and keep it close until they inevitably pull away. I predict more of the same tomorrow, resulting in a 12-16 point loss.

did i say that it was ridiculous? they looked like a team that would be in the tourney. they shoot too many 3's when they have 2 incredibly talented players who can get to the rim at will. they don't fit beilein's system, but trhen again i don't think his system is set up to make a team into a dominant force.

Illinois is letting Iowa dictate the pace of this game. That shouldn't stay the same because I don't see Iowa keeping this up.

PSU now alone in 4th in the Big Ten behind MSU, Illinois and Purdue. They've certainly taken advantage of what has been a favorable first-half BT schedule, but they've also still won games they weren't expected to, like against Purdue.

 

Of course, the schedule kicks up in difficulty right about....now.

 

yeah they have three auto-losses (@mich st, @purdue, @illinois) and only one auto-win left (vs indiana).

this illinois team cant buy a basket. i'm starting to regret getting excited about this season. davis hasnt done much of anything since the conference schedule started, averaging 8 and 5.
