Listening to Mully and Hanly this morning, Sox fans are sounding like we did last week. Once guy said their season is over. The general consent is to bench Konerko for Swisher.

 

Well, to be fair, they don't have the wild card to fall back on.

Would it make that big of a difference for them? Swisher's numbers aren't really all that outstanding this year either.

They wouldn't be replacing Konerko with Swisher (hes already in the lineup on a daily basis), they'd be replacing Konerko with a Wise/Anderson platoon. How sweet it would be to end that Godawful "PAULY" chant.

Almost as sweet as DeWayne Wise getting 2/3 of the starts in a major league game.

As minute a chance it would be for them to lose the division, it would be hilarious to see them fall to the Twins.

 

The Twins are incredibly mediocre, yet overplaying their own projected Win/Loss greatly. Imagine how good they'd actually be if they kept Santana and upgraded Liriano to the majors?
