The Eyes of Texas (5-2) at Draconian Empire (3-4)

Severe Tooterstorms (2-5) at Galesburg Hand Sanitizers (3-4)

This week marks the start of interleague play. Not a whole lot of inspiring match ups this week, so the game of the week goes to:

Raw Dawgs at NSBB

one of only two matchups this week of teams with winning records.

I get ARod back for the full week and I get two starts out of Lackey and Verlander. Last year that would have been incredible, but I'm not quite sure what to expect this season.

I like my two start pitchers, Hamels, coming off of a CG SHO and Lilly who has pitched well recently. Of course, watch Brett Myers remember how to pitch this week on my bench.

Strange year so far. A lot of parity. Only 1 team within 100 points of the leader. Only 4 teams within 200 points, though nobody has been dominant at all. Scoring seems generally down this year, as typical high scoring teams are well down the list on points (NSBB, GHS) and several top players haven't put up the numbers expected of them (Arod, Fielder, Howard). But that may just be my perception.

My team is averaging 300 points a week, but just barely.

I just read on Rotoworld that Halladay worked in relief yesterday, costing him his two start week. Lucky for me, I suppose.

My only 2 start pitcher this week has been on a tear lately. Mr. James Shields!

Alfonso Soriano's big week made Ryan Braun's week look rather average, but I'll take that kind of average week every week. Especially when the Brewers end up getting swept. \:D/

Rickie Weeks can stop hitting below .200 any time now. Other than Rickie's lack of ability to get hits and my inability to get useful points consistently from my utility player each week, I've been very happy with my team.

If I can avoid almost -40 points on two starts this week that will be nice. Derrek Lee needs a slumpbuster in the worst possible way.

He was used because there was a lengthy rain delay, and the manager didn't want the starter to continue after the delay.

Oh. Hell. Yes.

Picked up Lester on waivers two weeks ago. Kept him in the starting lineup for today.

Well Holy [expletive]! 2 Starts, 2 CG 1 ER performances today. Dye and Howard with 2 HR Games. What is going on??? About damn time! I should be close to even tomorrow with a 2 start advantage for the rest of the week. Maybe the Royals will score a run and Papelbon can get another save! If this team turns it on, I could have an outstanding team, but thus far it is night and day with this group.

I get the feeling we are going to see a lot of roller coasters this season.

For whatever reason, I can't access Roadkill at all. I've tried from all 3 computers on this network. I had Live Scoring open, and I hit refresh because it looked like it was locked up, and it just vanished off my computer.

I've deleted cookies, history, temporary internet files, ran Spybot, rebooted a few times, closed out of my virus protection and firewall. Nothing.

I've typed in cbs sportsline in my Yahoo and google browsers. I've typed in roadkill in my IE address bar, and I've clicked on go for any and all roadkill pages that come up in its history, including player pages. I've deleted any favorite links for Roadkill, and all I get with any of them is "page cannot be displayed".

Every other link on my computer works just fine. What really baffles me is that I can't access the site on either of the other two computers, either, and I don't ever try to access that site from any computer but the one I'm currently typing on.

I have to leave now. Anyone with any ideas? The last time this happened to me, I was able to access some obscure page on sportsline and I was able to link back in through that page. I can't seem to find a page to do that with this time.

My team is on the down slope of the roller coaster thus far this week.......... :(

Big day for my team today, nearly 50 points with no pitching starts. 4 dingers combined from Vlad (2), Gonzalez, and Laird, and my bullpen combo of Shields and K-Rod combined for double digits again. I lead by just under 30 with 5 pitching starts remaining apiece.

I have to root for NSBB in the big match this week. I could be tied for 1st in the East if everything goes right.

well, yeah, 33.5 points for andrew miller, obviously. and [expletive], let's get buerhle and his 5.20 era and 1.50 whip in on the act too. why not.

While his starters are doing very well this week yours really aren't doing anything. 10 points per start avg isn't going to win you many games regardless of what you opponent is doing.

Blah pitching day from Santana and Harang, but big days from Gonzalez, Greene (finally!), and Drew keeps me in a comfortable lead. Fortunately my worst pitching performance of the day (Bannister) was on my bench.

Matchup of the week living up to its billing. Tim up 151 to 150.5 going into the weekend. I have a 1 start advantage. Really counting on big nights from Volquez and Wainwright who are in San Diego and LA respectively. Of course, hoping they both lose 1-0 complete games, on unearned runs!

Yay. For whatever reason, the target is on my forehead. Yes, my team leads the league in scoring. But, I'm on my way to a 5-3 mark because teams like to have their best scoring week ever when they face Fuzzy Logistics.

Gotta give props to Tootielicious' pitching staff this week:

41, 39, 35, 29.5, 28, 17, 12.5, 8 and another start left today.
