...and not going to Chicago with my buddies because it was Mother's day weekend? I get to miss out on dinner and beers with Mike Fontenot, Darryl Ward and Ted Lilly - and to add insult to injury, I would have been sitting with these schmucks when they caught Soriano's HR tonight in the 5th inning.

That's my buddy in the light blue on the left, the friend who caught the ball is down on the wall, and Mike Fontenot's little brother is on the right in the light blue.

Jackarses. Sometimes I don't know if it is better to be a good husband or a good Cub fan....

I missed a wedding to go to game three last fall. Oops.

I was there. Maybe I should stay as far away from Wrigley as possible.... They are 4-0 with my kids up there...

wait a sec...what the heck is your buddy drinking with a straw in it....

I'd be willing to bet that he smuggled in some whiskey and put it in a coke or something. He's kinda poor being in PT school.

they have some fruity slushy looking drinks at the ballpark...noticed it when this girl that walked past us on saturday a thousand times had a couple in her hands.

unless you married your mom, you shouldn't have had to stay home with your wife on mother's day.

Especially if he never wants to have sex with her again. Not that I disagree with your "theory", just that in the real world it doesn't happen like that.

they're married, so the "not having sex" part is an easy assumption

You took one for the team Abe, way to go.

What! You can't commend that type of behavior. Bad boy. No dinner for you.

Exactly. Don't set precedent for the rest of us.

You know what Abe's wife has? A man for a husband.

when I marry my girlfriend someday and she starts having kids and working 'round the clock to take of them with me, I imagine I'll disagree with your idea even less than I do now :)

There are two pretty good reasons why I'm not punking out on her for Mother's Day.....

Beautiful kids, Abe. You are real lucky. I'd be afraid that if I had a kid it'd have three arms or be a mutant or something. :-(

Yeah, he is a mutant. He was born with three legs if you know what I mean, and I think you do. Kidding (not really). Thanks OMC, I have him swinging lefty off a tee now, and he's three. He'll be swinging like bosshogg's kid before long.

OK, now this incredibly uncomfortable.

I could live the rest of my life happily without another poster here making assertions about his kid's dangly bits.
