Period 6: 5/5/08 - 5/11/08

Dishman's Dishmans ( 1-3 ) at Lynx ( 1-3 )

Alamo Stealth ( 3-2 ) at The Eyes of Texas ( 4-1 )

Northside Baseball ( 3-2 ) at Fuzzy Logistics ( 3-2 )

Severe Tooterstorms ( 1-4 ) at Quakers ( 4-1 )

NC Cubs ( 3-2 ) at Buddiga ( 2-3 )

Voo Doo Bayou Bashers ( 2-3 ) at Draconian Empire ( 2-3 )

Harrys Budcrew ( 3-2 ) at Galesburg Hand Sanitizers ( 2-3 )

Tootielicious ( 3-2 ) at Raw Dawgs ( 3-2 )

There's not really a clear game of the week. Tootie and Raw will be battling to keep pace in the division where all teams are within 1 game of 1st place. NSBB and Fuzzy will be trying to get back on top of their division as well.

Good Luck!

There will be at least 1 division leader in the East not among them anymore. There will be at least 1 team that falls 2 games back.

We'll probably see a the divisions take form in the next couple of weeks.

This league's been like the NFL this year. No way to know who is going to win from week to week.

Looks like I'm catching Tim at the right time. Doesn't look like Lackey will pitch until next week. If he promotes Parra, he will still only have 6 starts this week. Meanwhile, I have 10 starts to choose the 7 I want.

The only real scare is how many points Pujols will score playing 4 games IN Colorado and against 3 lefty starters. Yikes. What is Colorado doing with all of those lefties?

Let's go Alamo!!!!!! :clapping:

BTW - I want to officially apologize to the members of Roadkill. In the heat of a tight battle with the fearsome fuzzies, I actually placed my support for my Quakers above my support for the Cubbies and rooted for Isringhausen to get a save. I should know that what happenes in real life (ie MLB) is much more important than a fantasy game. Will you ever forgive me

Ervin Santana is awesome this year. And to think I got him for Edwin Encarnacion. \:D/

After a crappy pitching week last week it looks like I'm back on track.

Combined pitching line for me tonight from Cy Santana and Cy McGowan: 16.1 IP, 8 H (6 1B, 2 2B), 15 K, ZERO BB, 2 W (I realize that doesn't affect the scoring), 1 CG, 1 SO. And Santana has another start this week.

To think that a few weeks ago, over-reacting to losing K-Rod for a few games, I offered Santana to Adam straight up for a top closer, and he turned it down. Perfect example of sometimes the best trades being the ones you don't make. :D

i want to start duchscherer, but he's not eligible as a SP, so i just put him in my lineup as a RP. so my lineup shows three relievers, but i only have four SP in there. if that's not right, let me know.

50-point lead, with a 5-4 disadvantage in remaining pitching starts. As long as I just get decent pitching the rest of the week (avoiding big negative scores) I should remain in the tie atop the East. I have several two-start pitchers this week, so I can pick and choose (I had Bannister's and Suppan's so-so outings on my bench today).

I'm really glad that the 2 pitchers I've placed on the bench this week have 67 points between the 2 of them. My luck, I'll start one of them this weekend and they'll get negative points.

In 2 leagues, I'm a combined 20 for 124 hitting so far. My other league has DWright, Utley, Burrell, DLee, Beltran, and BJ Upton.

Yet I'm winning all 3 games (other league plays 2 at a time), two of which are 30-50 point leads. This league, I have Edison Volquez. The other league I have Zambrano and Olsen, along with Volquez.

Last year I had Buchholz in the minors when he threw his no hitter :?

Navin, Lincecum and Pettitte will give you 8 starts this week. Thought I would let you know so you could pick who you wanted, but I assume its Lincecum who goes first.

Can I bench a guy who gets suspended? If I can replace him, do I have to get a free agent or can I swap him out with a reserve player eligible at the same position?

My team has really gone downhill this week after a promising start. McGowan looked like Cy Young Monday and Anthony Young today. I'm down by a bit over 60 points with 2 starts remaining apiece. I could still win if Santana and Suppan both have huge games tomorrow and at least one of Buddiga's starters has a huge negative game. I should have started Jackson instead of McGowan. :x

I'm pretty pleased with my points this week. Considering I have a couple position players that have done absolutely nothing this week I can't complain.

I'm still looking for a SP if anyone's ready to sell yet.
