I'm happy that three WR are still there for the Cowboys to choose from in Manningham, Doucet, and Caldwell. I'd take Doucet simply because I've heard the Cowboys flagged Manningham.

 

The WR I see the Cowboys taking is Will Franklin out of Missouri. They brought him in for a visit and were really impressed from what I heard.

Chiefs draft Jammal Charles, and Merril Hodge says he only has good speed. The kid is a freaking track star and runs below a 4.4 - 40. Perfect combo for Larry Johnson.

Supposedly Manningham had a meeting set-up with the Cowboys people including Jerry Jones. He skipped the meeting, and when asked about just said he had other things to do.

 

The Cowboys felt that if he couldn't be bothered to meet with him, they weren't going to draft him. Some have said they removed him from the board completely. I also heard other teams had the same concerns and his drop is a result of that.

I'm a little surprised the Bears haven't picked any defensive players yet, but I can't complain too much about the guys they did pick.

 

Where on defense do you think they have a hole to fill? Safety depth is really the only place I can think of. D line is always a good thing too.

 

I think they'll get another O-line guy, and a QB at some point here.

 

They could use depth everywhere, including LB and CB. I'm surprised mostly because historically Angelo can pick defensive players very well, and can always get a diamond in the rough 2nd/3rd round. The Bears are pretty thin this year defensively, so I'd be surprised if some depth wasn't acquired in some way.

Manningham did a terrible job preparing for the combine too. In this day and age thats idiotic. he has too much talent to cadillac through this process. The Dallas story vance reports is so stupid of him.

2 years ago if you told me Crable would get drafted ahead of Manningham id laugh in your face.

If Manningham is still on the board and Caldwell is gone, it will be telling if the Cowboys pass on him. WR was one of their major needs going into the draft and those two are the only ones I see being able to step in for them this year. Anyone else is a reach. So, if that happens and the Cowboys pass on Manningham, it will tell you there's some serious questions about the kid.
