According to ESPN radio, Felix was complaining last night in the locker room about injuring his left hand on that catch. According to them, he was feeling pretty rough. My guess is that this has a lot more to do with that.

I wonder if this has something to do with why it looked like he couldn't catch up with any of Harang's pitches?

That would be more like it. The hand has nothing to do with it. Lou said he was going to spend 2-3 days working with Pie to shorten his swing. The two worked together Wednesday, with Piniella engaging in some pretty animated discussion with Pie.

I pray that isn't a diplomatic way of saying Lou was yelling at Pie.

With how Corey-ish his approach has been, I wouldn't be opposed to Lou chewing him out, if it's what it takes to get him to make necessary adjustments to produce consistently.

I don't know why Piniella would think that Pie needs yet another voice telling him what he should be doing at the plate, let alone that he could single-handedly shorten Pie's swing in 2-3 days.

Wind blowing out tonight?

You bet

I'll never forget that game in May of 2003 vs the Cards. Wind was blowing straight out to left. Clement was pitching. The score was 12-9 Cardinals after 4 innings and then the game got called due to rain. It set up the doubleheader in that 5-game series against the Cards in September of that year.

I had always wondered what the score would have been had that game been played.
