From Spring Training:

"He's been much, much better than I thought he'd be at this point," added Yost. "He's got an opportunity one day to win a Gold Glove in left field. He certainly does."

That is because the gold glove depends on how good of a hitter you are for some reason

So I'm guessing there is somebody on the streets outside the stadium selling those stupid (and not to mention offensive) Japanese head bands?

I'm seen worse.

Someone was selling t-shirts with a slant-eyed Cubs face (think the Cub that used to be on the sleeve) with the caption "Hory Cow!"

And I'm sure they didn't see anything wrong with it, either.

At my job there is a was a british customer, and the barista talked to him the whole time in a terrible british accent, and was confused when he got offended and walked out. She really had no idea.

People are ignorant.

and you wonder why other countries hate americans.

I don't think the headbands are that bad.

Guess it's about time to change the "Losers" in the thread name back to "Cubs", don't you think?

Is the game over?

They're hachimaki, and not racist just because kamikaze pilots wore them.

Hachimaki(headband) are thin cotton towels or strips of cloth tied around the head. Originally worn as a charm against evil spirits in ancient times, they are worn today not so much for the practical purpose to catch the perspiration but rather for a mental stimulation purpose to express one's determination. For example you might see people wearing hachimaki in a walk-out for a wage hike or political demonstration in the streets. Also heavy physical labor and such strenuous activities as carrying portable shrine (mikoshi) at festivals have people wearing them. Some students wear hachimaki when they study to put themselves in the spirit.

I don't see them as offensive. I wouldn't see it as offensive if Japanese fans wore cowboy hats when they signed an American. I think they are stupid though.

Sweet, Marmol still in at 35 pitches and counting?

Bruan looks completely lost and unathletic out there

I've never seen someone who was so outstanding at the plate and just as plain awful as him in the field. Most high school outfielders would be doing a better job than him in the field, that's really pathetic.

Does he always attack the ball with his glove like that, it looks like he is just hoping he catches it.

Braun in the field reminds me of the bad fielders from my high school team freshman year. None of the guys who are still playing are that bad at fielding.
