What the hell, I thought when someone was released or put on waivers it was a public thing. When you put a player on the DL, for example -- there's no speculation about it, it's posted somewhere and everyone knows. I thought releasing a player was the same. Why is this a matter of conjecture at all?

Uribe is projected to have a .251 EqA. Theriot is projected at .237.

 

And even if Uribe's defense is on the decline, he's still got to be much better than Theriot.
