anyone else encouraged by the mini marquis article on cubs.com?

 

i think he will be there this season...

 

i am totally down with

 

Z, Lilly, Leiber, Hill, Marquis

 

dempster can ride the pine and give interviews...anything but start

 

Marquis has a Mini-me? Can he pitch?

 

 

no, but he has great OBP

Lieber doesn't instill much more confidence in me (if any) than Dempster.

 

Dempster and Lieber should spot start against the Brewers and other RH-heavy lineups.

MacPhail was on the Baltimore spring training game broadcast today. He said that Hendry had called him yesterday 'to see how everything was going' and that Hendry was sure to mention that DeRosa was expected to recover quickly from the procedure he had today.

Yes, he did. Consequently, he and Lou started with the longing looks at each other and whispered assurances about that time. Hendry sat on the sidelines happy to be the third-wheel matchmaker.
