Wait..when I posted that link it said that he was officially a Met, but then i left the page, posted it, and click back on it and it's back to just saying that they got a 2 hour extension.

But on the front page of mets.com it still says that it's official.

Confusion going on at the moment, apparently.

man, the contracts these guys get nowadays are friggin' ridiculous.

Meh, even if Johan gets what he's asking for, it's no match (overall) for the contract ARod got 7 years ago.

And Hell, Michael Jordan got $30M/year over 10 years ago (granted, he was being compensated for years of being "underpaid," but yea)....

These numbers shouldn't faze anyone anymore.

Better deal for the Mets than the one the Giants gave to Barry Zito.

Barry Zito is gonna blow up in the next year or two, just you wait and see

By "Blow Up" I mean he's going to explode due to his crappiness

I guess this means that CC Sabathia is as good as gone next offseason for Indians fans...

Signed by Mark Cuban's Cubs.

We can finally have a 4/5ths rotation of all lefties. I am looking forward to that.........

I'd rather have four lefties than a Jason Marquis and a Ryan Dempster.

Well...my comment is a double edge comment. It was meant to be sarcastic and wishful thinking, roll into one. But if that happens, I pretty sure Hendry is not going to want 4 lefties, so I supposed HE COULD trade either Hill AND/OR Marshall to make room for Sabathia. That's besides the point, seeing as I don't expect the Cubs to make a move for CC.

Pretty sure that Bruce Levine reported that Johan did not want to play in the Midwest, so the Cubs were never in the running.

I wonder how much of that was a geographical preference, and how much of that was driven by the fact that the teams that would have paid Santana the most are on the coasts.

Since he was also insisting on a team that trains in Florida I'm sure it was a geographical preference.
