Nice get by White Sox. But I wonder what Oakland got in return. I have to guess Kenny had to give up a lot, desperate for major league caliber OF help. Oakland must be playing for 2010 and beyond right now.

I think this does guarentee Blanton is gone, but I just don't know if he's right for us, considering we will have to overpay a little.

 

And I think it would take more than Pie/Marshall/Gallagher like you suggested. I would have done that in a second. Imagine:

Seems weird that they would make a trade for an OF that can't play center. Also, Quinten should not be a bench player at this stage of his development. Me thinks another trade is occuring. Most likely Crede will be shipped off so Fields can play 3B and Quinten or Swisher to Left, but maybe Thome is shipped off somewhere for pitching and Swisher becomes the DH
