It's a crime that he's that low.

No, it was a crime when he stabbed that guy with a pocketknife.

I wasn't aware character had anything to do with historical rankings. If so, we shouldn't have a violent, drunken, and adulterous man at no.1

and you don't think 17th place is low for a guy who is 2nd in hits all time, 2nd in runs scored, 4th in doubles, 2nd in triples, 6th in RBI, 4th in SB's, and 1st in career BA?

You already went. The "rules" are that you have to wait 20 turns...otherwise I would have had Cobb in at 4th.

So this whole exercise was just an excuse for you to complain about ty cobb's inevitable ranking?

Inevitable ranking? I seriously doubted someone of his stature in the game would fall out of the top 5, much less the top 15. It's like having Wilt Chamberlain not ranked in the top 15 in a greatest basketball players ever poll.

This whole exercise is geared to open a discussion about baseball history, player rankings, etc. It's fun stuff.

Posted
Really? Cause it just looks like more Cobb fellating.

He wouldn't have even been mentioned by me if he hadn't been rated 17th. Seriously, who would expect that?

And this looks like more OMC trolling by you.

You complained about it before we even got to No. 7

You start a thread that deals with old baseball players, ten minutes later you're campaigning for Cobb. You've certainly found a niche, I guess.

Enough you two.

Feel free to point out where I've stepped out of line.

How 'bout the original attack aimed at OMC that had absolutely zero valuable feedback to the thread.

This, you mean?

I'm surprised he survived such a punishing blow! Time to mow the lawn, Nick.

You two going at it adds no value to the board. We get it, you guys don't like each other.

The Odd Couple lasted five seasons. I see no reason this shouldn't.
