Speculation from Rotoworld, mostly posting this because it'd be so cool if we got rid of the mentioned players:

Brian Fuentes has indicated to the Rockies that he'd prefer to pitch for a team that would use him as a closer.

It'd help his value as he enters his walk year. The Rockies were planning to offer Fuentes an extension this winter, but if they're convinced he'd rather pitch elsewhere, they could trade him. The Tigers wanted him before re-signing Todd Jones and may yet have some interest in him, though he'd be a setup man there now. The Brewers, who have Chris Capuano or another starting pitcher to offer, are a logical suitor, and the Cubs are always looking for bullpen help. The Rockies are thought to be interested in Will Ohman and they might like Ryan Theriot if the Cubs pick up a shortstop in another deal.

Not that we really need him, but Id trade Ohman and Theriot for him

that would be an awesome lefty eighty closing tandem with woody (and good insurance).

• The Rockies and Red Sox have engaged in discussions for left-handed reliever Brian Fuentes, a baseball source said. Colorado is in need of a second baseman since Kaz Matsui left to sign with Houston and may be targeting Jed Lowrie in return. Lowrie, a 23-year-old second baseman in Boston's system, was the 45th overall pick in the 2005 draft out of Stanford and has been rumored in other trade discussions.

You know, had this been a hockey source I would have been doubtful about the veracity of the rumor.
