Okay so here's Roast's sig, which is mildly amusing...

Now to me, it's pretty obvious that this is staged. If you're legitimately startled by something, isn't your first instinct to jump back, rather than wheel around and throw a punch? Much like the things on America's Funniest Home Videos, this loses a lot of its "funny factor" if it was all set up in advance.

The other question I have is, why is the "interviewer" (a white kid) wearing an Ecko shirt?

I think it's staged. I can definitely see someone punching when they're scared, but they would flinch first. That guy doesn't flinch at all. He just goes right for the guy in the trashcan. There would be some momentary pause where he's trying to figure out what's going on.

#1: The real one doesn't have a mask on the guy in the trashcan.

#2: His first reaction to being frightened is to fight. Thats normal for a lot of people.

#3: Why is the white interviewer wearing an ECKO shirt? He is a white suburban teenager. Thats why.

Dude, the kid is black. Therefore he's a thug. Therefore his first reaction is to punch.

/sarcasm.

I think (hope) It's legit. I only say that because I've reacted like that before, only I've always been able to pull back before actually hitting someone. I don't know, I hope its real.

As for the Ecko thing...Because he wants to dress that way and there's nothing wrong with that.

I only have one Ecko shirt, actually. I think it's ignorant to say what people can and can't wear because of the color of their skin. If a hispanic kid wore that, or better yet, if a hispanic kid wore fubu, would anyone complain? Of course not, I see it all the time. It's only when white kids wear 'urban' clothing that people have problems. And that's ignorant, IMO.

what about FUBU shirts. FUBU stands for "For Us, By Us" and the "Us" definitely does not include white people.

What about when hispanic people wear fubu? I know what FUBU stands for, but I don't think it stands for hispanic people either. Yet no one complains when they wear it, why? Does your skin have to be at least a certain pigmentation in order to wear it?

It's a obvious fake. Besides the lack of any momentary surprise, that wasn't a reflex punch. The kid took the time to soften his knees, then drive off his back foot as he threw the punch, and he did this without a moment's hesitation. He was mentally prepared beforehand.

Now the Cubs make him feel so...much like punching people in the face.

Well...yes.

I once scared the crap out of an 8 year old girl in a fairly similar fashion (dropped from the ceiling while wearing a costume) and her immediate reaction was to punch me in the face.
