Wow, I see my Illini picked up right where they left off last year -- can't shoot, Pruitt and Randle are playing as soft as toilet tissue, can't make free throws and no inside play whatsoever. At least we are rebounding and playing some defense. I think Randle will end up making my all-Illini underachiever list with the likes of Richard Keene and Bryant Notree.

The sad part is that we could get away with the poor shooting if Pruitt would remember that he's 6'10" 245 and not 5'10 165. He's got to be one of the softest big men in the country.

That was one of the worst games I've ever seen Pruitt have. Including his entire college career. He looked terrible.

Well it sucks getting dominated by the ACC again.

 

Give the Big Ten one or two more years though to be up around the top in the nation. I really feel the coaches in the league are as strong as they have been in quite a while. We know what Izzo, Ryan and Matta can do. Weber is getting better recruits in the future. Sampson was a big upgrade at IU and Painter looks very solid. Michigan, Iowa and Minnesota all made real upgrades this year with Beilein, Lickliter and Tubby. None of the top 9 figure to be leaving anytime within the next few years.

Mizzou's lack of ability to make a layup is going to cost them the game. Three chances under the hoop and couldn't make it, ARK got the rebound and got fouled. Mizzou down 90-89, 26.2 seconds left, Arkansas shooting two.

Stefhon Hannah decides not to give it up when he's triple teamed and throws up a junk 3 pointer down 94-91, but a tie-up on the rebound gives Missouri the possession with 1.9 seconds left, time for one last prayer.
