Anyone notice about the Red Sox in Game 1 of the ALCS

They don't swing at every piece of crap within 4 feet of the strike zone? After watching that game, and then watching some of the Cubs again, the difference is still amazing. It's like the Cubs had no pitch recognition and just guessed wrong most of the time, like they decided what they were going to do well before the pitch was thrown.

Aramis and Soriano clearly did this. They are pretty much guess hitters all season. Aramis was completely off-balanced, because the DBacks' pitchers mixed it up well and he made up his mind he was gonna swing before the pitch was thrown. Soriano is extremely streaky because of his guessing.

Every hitter guesses, it's just a matter guessing right and unlike the Cubs against AZ, not swinging at pitches that they guessed wrong on.

Colorado was incredibly patient last night vs Davis. They didn't score many runs, but they worked about every count. I like that.

Although I am rooting for the Rockies (and every other team against the D-Backs), it made me feel a little better to see them make Livan Hernandez look good. At least for 5 and two-thirds.

That said, I hope they rip apart the guy on the mound tonight who also happens to be their best hitter. :lol:
